Miniature ernø house : Wassily chair at home

Voilà donc Le fauteuil Wassily dans la Miniature ernø house. Initialement nommé chaise modèle B3,  Marcel Breuer l'a créé en 1925-1926 alors qu’il était à la tête de l’atelier de menuiserie du Bauhaus de Dessau. 

Le peintre constructiviste Wassily Kandinsky, aussi à l’école du Bauhaus à la même époque, en aimait tellement le design que Breuer lui en fabriqua alors un modèle. Sur cette anecdote, le nom de Wassily lui fût ainsi attribué une décennie plus tard lors de sa réédition par un fabricant italien.

So, the Wassily chair in Miniature erno house. Originally named B3 model chair, Marcel Breuer created it in 1925-1926, when he was at the head of the carpentry workshop at the Bauhaus in Dessau.

The constructivist painter Wassily Kandinsky, both to the Bauhaus at the same time, like so much the design of the chair, so Breuer made a model for him. Based on this story, the name of Wassily chair was assigned 10 years later at its reissue by an Italian manufacturer.
